It's Time To Talk About The Elephant In The Room: Woman Fosters Baby Elephant And It Absolutely Destroys Her House (Pictures and Videos)

What could go wrong when you foster a baby elephant and let it wander through your house? Nothing, right? Wrong. A woman in South Africa (she is the head of a nearby animal sanctuary) decided to personally help foster one of the baby elephants that was being brought to her sanctuary, and the footage of her having the elephant in her house is a hilarious disaster. 

The elephant is acting like all elephants do (which we learned today that elephants are basically large, smarter dogs with trunks), curiously exploring everything and not having a care in the world. One of the best moments is the elephant is playing with some expensive-looking china, and she says in an anxious voice, "This is not a good place for an elephant!" No kidding, Sherlock! We can't look away from this hilarious train wreck, and honestly whenever our dog gets into something he's not supposed to, now we can sit back comfortably and say, "Well, at least he's not an elephant".

    Aaaaaaaaand the destruction begins. You would think that maybe, just maybe, you would move all the expensive plates and things away from the baby elephant, but that would be just us. To be fair, it must be pretty hard to "elephant-proof" a house.

    Font - I'm seeing quite a few comments deriding this women for making the elephant her pet, but the video cuts out the context, originally from a BBC video. She runs an animal sanctuary/rehab center and the reason my the elephant is so close to her is because he was taken there after being washed away from his herd and they couldn't find his family. He's the only elephant there and this woman acted as his surrogate mother. There's a follow up video where she helps him get over a fear of water so
